Part 6: Chapter 2 – Day 4: Christ Has Come

Welcome to Day 4 of Part 6‘s Chapter 2 of Arise and Shine. Today, Anna is bringing forward the fourth free will offering of ram skins dyed redThank you for your prayers for my heart testing yesterday: I now have a much clearer diagnosis after a specialized heart catheterisation. Praise God for His guidance and not relenting until I had answers.

Christ Has Come

I remember, LORD
Those days gathering dust
Been and gone
As yesteryear
And yet, I remember still.

Your Word before me laid
Tears streaming
And my heart like water
Pouring
Nothing hidden before you
Every part laid bare.

I remember, LORD
Those days gathering dust
Been and gone
As yesteryear
And yet, I remember still.

Your heart in me rising
Your tears mine becoming
Your pain mine lifting
Your songs my spirit soaring
Your breath my lungs inflating.

I remember, LORD
Those days now
Rising new
No longer
The dust of accusations
My portion.

My yesteryear
Shrouded in accusations
Now exchanged
In joy everlasting
Your grace
My lot becoming.

Now let Your Word
In me arise anew
My laments
Into praises pouring
My fears
Into faith unfurling
My shame
Into mercy melting.

For, now I know, LORD
The gathering dust
Was never my lot
My feet You've shaken
Into the peace of Your Presence
I'm running.

For now I remember, LORD
Those days as new
Your steadfast love
Never ceasing
Your mercies new
Every morning.

Now with each
Spirit breath afresh
Let me testify:
My old has gone

For Christ has come!

Dear Anna, this poem is so beautiful. I love this stanza especially:

    “For, now I know, LORD
    The gathering dust
    Was never my lot
    My feet You’ve shaken
Into the peace of Your Presence
    I’m running.”

Amen! I may not be able to physically run any longer, but He has made the way for me to run spiritually into the peace of His presence. Truly all things new, no more dust settling. And praise God for His help for you with the hospital testing. You are in my prayers still. 🙏

Right there with you, Bettie. Because of my heart I also haven’t been able to run anymore either. So ironic really – the weaker we become, the stronger in the LORD we become, as His power is perfected right there.
You and Barry are in my prayers also. Love you xoxo
