Part 2: Chapter 2 – Day 4: His Increase

Welcome to Day 4 of Part 7′Chapter 2 of Arise and Shine. Today, Anna is bringing forward the fourth free will offering of the table of the showbread.

2 Peter 3:8–9 (The Passion Translation)
Dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape your notice: a single day counts like a thousand years to the Lord Yahweh, and a thousand years counts as one day. This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.

Jude 20-23 (ESV) But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

His Increase

Pressed and poured out

Hardened hearts meeting

Your Word in me weary

And yet Your calling comes

Rekindle the flame.

Anger covers

The pain in me flaring:

"Fan into flame

The gifts fenced in

And surrendered

To death?"

And yet His mind leads me:

"Rekindle the flame

Small beginnings

Not despising

For resurrection awaits

In the clay burning to rest."

Will I surrender

The dust and the ash I see,

To rest in Christ's

Believing, like Peter,

It's shadows that heal?

"Ask and you shall receive

Knock and the door shall open

See the sea of glass burning

The flame of the kiln blowing

Grace from glory to glory transforming."

In the shade of Your light

In this heart You've awoken

I'm persuaded to trust

The new wineskins You've given

The new wine You're pouring.

The Spirit reminds me

Christ's labor in love is not wasted

For each seed in our Lord surrendered

His servants water

In fountains gushing and pouring

Our Beloved yields

His increase.

Father, purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. (Psalm 51:7-14, KJV) In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Isaiah 9:7 ESV Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Jude 24-25 ESV Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
