Part 2: Chapter 5 – Day 3: The Great Unknowing

Welcome to Day 3 of Chapter 5 from Arise & Shine’s Part 7. Today, Bettie is bringing forward our third free will offering of the Stone Tablets: Revealing the Covenant and Testimony of Jesus (the Word fulfilled).

God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you. I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing. I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.”

Genesis 12: 1-3

THE GREAT UNKNOWING

Where are we going?

My words fell to the ground as

Questions swirled like the mist around

The hazy roadway.

Had we really left it all?

The usual ways of living heaped around

Us like the boxes of moving were

Stacked in the truck.

Called out to the wilderness?

A life of dependence on the Vine to

Guide each step sometimes made

Little sense to me.

Questioning of God’s Authority?

I was so tempted to shake my fist as

The ONE who had set this plan in

Motion seemed absent.

Where is your God now?

They had asked Aaron when Moses

Delayed on the mountain for

Those endless days.

Would I also leave Him?

The Faithfulness of the past floated

Before my eyes and could not be

Denied any longer.

Abraham, Aaron and Moses questioned Him

But the God of the Living proved His ways to them

And the God of today proved His ways to me

How could I not praise Him?

The One who led me out would

Also lead me in to the place of His

Glory and Grace.

”I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

John 15:5-8
