In discovering a I used the same poem three times in our book, Arise and Shine, I invited Bettie to share a new poem of hers to replace one of the three. May Bettie’s new poem bless your heart, as it did mine.
Welcome to Day 2 of Part 3’s Chapter 1. Today, Bettie is sharing a free will offering of incense.

So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:24 (NRSV)
I Praise Our MAKER!
The young boys jumped so high
they lifted their voices
LOOK AT ME NOW!
CAN YOU SEE?
And Grandma smiled back
ear-to-ear grinning
YES! I praise your MAKER
who gave you that joy!
But in the night watch
fears for these young ones
Become Grandma-heart prayers
Can YOU hear me now, LORD?
And the MAKER of stories, leaps & songs
Let's forth a LAUGH
sounding thru time
and ear-to-ear grinning.
I AM THE MAKER
Who gave them their joy
And I mingle Grandma-prayers
With Father-Heart-LOVE.
It is MY JOY to gather
Your songs & your prayers
for PRAISE EVERFLOWING
from you
my children
my own.
The young girls sang
and spoke their stories
LISTEN TO ME NOW
CAN YOU HEAR?
And Grandma smiled back
Ear-to-ear grinning
YES! I praise your MAKER
Who gave you that joy!
The young ones laughed
and made silly faces
LOOK AT ME NOW!
CAN YOU LAUGH LIKE ME?
And Grandma smiled back
ear-to-ear grinning
Yes! I praise our MAKER
Who gives us that joy!
but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (NRSV)
the Lord appeared to him from far away.
Jeremiah 31:3 (NRSV)
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.
