Jesus Awaking

Jesus Awaking

Silence
Is more than this
Wounded soul
Can carry

But thank
You LORD
That I don't
Have to carry

What You
Have carried
To the Cross
For me

I don't
Have to
Live chained
To fear and shame

You made me
Fearfully and
Wonderfully
Passionately: Yours

Never too
Much I AM
In the places
Purposed for me

I won't hide
Away nor run
Away from
Silence but

Turn toward
You here: My King
In our midst
To Your sovereign

Will for more
For more of my
Walls to crumble
For mighty rivers

Of grace Your
Gold revealing
In my steps
Made firm

Established
In You alone
The LORD
Of the Angel

Armies
Light pouring
Into all this
Darkness

Not hiding
Who I am
But shining
Who You are

Jesus is
Binding all parts
Broken together
In love

In Jesus
This silence
Is but
An invitation.

Into resting
In the doorway
At your feet
Pure Jesus

I'm undone
In Your Hand
Upon my head
In the presence

Of my enemies
You're anointing me
In Spirit breath
To arise and shine

In the
Father's gift
Of fire burning
Heaven glowing

Jesus awaking.

Papa, show us that the beauty of who You are is being seen and heard in others, through Your creativity in us. Papa, show us that who You are is being recognized in others, through Your passion in us. Papa, show us that who You are in others is being identified as unique and special through Your passion and creativity in us. Papa, show us that who You are in others is being validated and understood, through Your laments of intercession and Your turning over of tables through us.

John 2:16-17
And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.” His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”

Luke 22:44
And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

John 11:33-35
When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. And he said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Lord, come and see.” Jesus wept.
