Day 8: Glory

A photo I took recently of the sky on my way home from the forest that spoke to me of the glory and majesty of our God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth.

“Comfort and keep comforting my people,” says your God. “Tell Yerushalayim to take heart; proclaim to her that she has completed her time of service, that her guilt has been paid off, that she has received at the hand of Adonai double for all her sins.” A voice cries out: “Clear a road through the desert for Adonai! Level a highway in the ‘Aravah for our God! Let every valley be filled in, every mountain and hill lowered, the bumpy places made level and the crags become a plain. Then the glory of Adonai will be revealed; all humankind together will see it, for the mouth of Adonai has spoken.” A voice says, “Proclaim!” And I answer, “What should I proclaim?” “All humanity is merely grass, all its kindness like wildflowers: the grass dries up, the flower fades, when a wind from Adonai blows on it. Surely the people are grass! The grass dries up, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand forever.” You who bring good news to Tziyon, get yourself up on a high mountain; you who bring good news to Yerushalayim, cry out at the top of your voice! Don’t be afraid to shout out loud! Say to the cities of Y’hudah, “Here is your God! Here comes Adonai Elohim with power, and his arm will rule for him. Look! His reward is with him, and his recompense is before him. He is like a shepherd feeding his flock, gathering his lambs with his arm, carrying them against his chest, gently leading the mother sheep.”

Yesha ‘yahu (Isa) 40:1‭-‬11 CJB

Today, I bless us to open our eyes, by the power of the Living Word, to the eternal and unfading beauty, glory and power of our mighty God – living and breathing inside of each of us. I bless us to be filled with a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit that we might see and receive God’s comfort, tenderness and grace to us in every place of wounding, desolation and pain.

May we deep down know that our warfare has ended and that all our iniquity has been pardoned for. May we now open our hands in faith to receive the restoration of the years that the locust ate, the cankerworm and the caterpillar and the palmer worm, God’s great army which He sent among us for His eternal purposes. I bless us to open our mouths to now eat the plenty the Lord has given us, until we are full, and to praise the name of the Lord our God, who has worked wonders for us. May we rejoice in the knowledge that never again will we, God’s people, be shamed.

"Look,"
I hear Him whisper
"Watch these
My birds
They sing
And soar
Surrendered there
To winds I send.

"And so it is with you
Not condemnation
But love so true
These winds have sent
To sweep you
High above
Where all your sowing
Reaping, hoarding
Cease.

"In heavenly places
You'll now begin
To breathe
In My breath
Made new
Your heart of flesh
In Christ
Set free.

"Carried away
On these
My everlasting arms
Watch My Son
Now rising
Strong.

"Trials, tears and
Broken bread
Watch Him
Lift unto the Father
Now in thanks
Your laments
In praise
Exchanging.

"See His face
Reflected
In your own
Cupping now
Your tears
His tears
In incense
Wafting high.

"In grace awash
Your new
Expectant
Trusting heart
In Spirit breath
I AM
Awakening.

"The sword of life
Each accusation
Lifting
My Body broken
Your broken body
Healing.

"Fly my precious girl
Uncaged and free
Let that broken
Contrite heart
Now lead you
To the Cross
Each day anew.

"Taste there
My steadfast
Love and mercy
My Body broken
My cup pouring
Each day afresh.

"Watch now
Your Promise
My every Word
In abiding fruit
Returning.

"Born in my Son's
Own yielding
Your every surrender
An eternal lot
Bequeathing.

"My bride betrothed
See My storehouse
Shaking
Breaking open
Gifts of grace
In abundant grain
Now pouring.

"My Voice in you
In My blood
Set free
Songs of deliverance
In wings of glory
Soaring."

Day 5: I AM Awaking

16 December 2015 in Arrowtown, New Zealand. Waking early to drink in God’s Living Word to me.

Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.

Ezekiel 37:5 ESV

Today, I bless us to take eat of the peace offering in the Presence of our God. I bless us to detach from and lay down our old life that has already died at the Cross to take eat of our new life in Christ Jesus. I bless us to sacrifice our fleshly way of seeing and thinking, our worldly truths and our life of slavery to sin and death on the altar to draw near and take eat of the Word of Life, our peace offering Himself: Jesus – our Way, Truth and Life. I bless us to please our God. I bless us to wake early in hunger and thirst to take eat of the Word of life and bear the fruit for which He was sent to us.

I bless us to come to God, believing not only that He exists but that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. I bless us who have sown with tears to reap with songs of joy. I bless us who have taken up our Cross to follow our Jesus, who have laid down our life for others in obedience to the Holy Spirit’s promptings, to see by faith and believe that what the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good: for the saving of many.

I bless us to not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, so that the peace of God that transcends our understanding may guard our hearts in Christ Jesus. I bless us to be filled by the God of hope with all joy and peace, as we trust in him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I bless us to see dry bones come alive in the breath of the Almighty.

There's not a day
Goes by
I don't remember
How far
You've come.

There's not a day
Goes by
I don't see
The labor pain
You've borne.

Always and ever
From the throne room
My heart's pouring out
Living waters rushing
For you to know Me more.

Ever more in My death
And resurrection
Sweet mercy
Taste now in heaven's
Dew ever glowing.

My manna's
From the sky here falling
Know there's not a day
Goes by
You're all alone.

As you Sabbath
Rest your heart
Lift my Word afresh
In your bosom hid
My honey, take eat.

My Body broken
My blood shed
Come and feast
At My table in the
New wine ever flowing.

In the tears
And groaning
See a new heart awaking
The love of the Father
No longer hidden, broken free.

In your hands I've emptied
See harmony's song
In Christ's leading thought rising
Behold: truth's kissing grace
Dove's eyes, pure blue revealing.

In Heaven's cloud opening
Tears in joy I'm reaping
Each day anew
Run your race into kairos
In Your Way
In the wilderness

See Eden in your desert
Blooming
In rainclouds
All things new unfurling
See in your body

My Body

That was broken
For the joy
Set before us now:

The dry bones
I AM

Awaking!
